RT-PCR COVID Test
What is a RT-PCR Test?
The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for COVID-19 is a molecular test that analyzes your upper respiratory specimen, looking for genetic material (ribonucleic acid or RNA) of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Scientists use the PCR technology to amplify small amounts of RNA from specimens into deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), which is replicated until SARS-CoV-2 is detectable if present. The PCR test has been the gold standard test for diagnosing COVID-19 since authorized for use in February 2020. It’s accurate and reliable.
Some travel destinations have strict requirements around the type of swab used for PCR tests. Please check with their local travel authorities or your travel agent to ensure the swab type that’s best suited for your travel needs. Good to Go test offers the less invasive oral nasal swab at all locations and the deep nasal (Nasopharyngeal) swab type at select locations. Please specify your swab type at the time of your test.

Rapid Antigen COVID Test
What is a Rapid Antigen Test?
Antigen-based tests detect specific proteins on the surface of the virus. They’re often called rapid tests, as they typically provide results in less than an hour. In general, antigen tests are used by a health care professional or trained operator at point-of-care, but lab-based antigen tests exist as well. All positive Antigen tests require follow-up PCR testing.
